Dumfries Estate Ride
Three or four hour leisurely trek starting at Blackstone Farm riding through farmland then onto the 18th century Estate pathways
After exploring the Estate on horse back meander back to the farm to enjoy a faster pace in the fields enjoying the beautiful scenery as you go.
Dumfries House Estate steeped in generations of history with 18th-century house is set in 2000 acres and part of the King’s foundation. Saved by the intervention of His Royal Highness in 2007, visitors can explore the stunning estate 365 days a year with free entry and parking.
The Dumfries House experience is a private ride whether on you own or with friends or family. Riders must be able to give direction, instruction and be a competent enough rider to control the Clydesdales actions at all gates and paces in an English style bridle, saddle and stirrups. If you haven’t ridden for a while, never ridden out of a school environment or not ridden in and English style bridle, saddle and stirrups the Estate ride is not suitable for you.
Three or Four hour experience starting from £180.00 per person for experienced, competent, advanced riders only.
Dumfries House Estate is shared by other visitors on foot, cycle bikes, dog walkers, horses and humans.
Weight restriction: experienced and accomplished riders up to 17st or 238lb or 108kg Weight is fully clothed with jacket, boots, safety hat etc]
The rider is required to complete a personal information form, understanding the T&C’s. You cannot participate unless the personal information is completed and returned before your booked date.
Riding safety hat is mandatory. Extra cost to hire safe hat.
